Cottam is a town within Kingsville. The population is around 300.

The town has 3 neighbourhoods. The first part is known as the core. The Essex County Library Branch, Kingsville Fire Department, Gosfield North Communications Co-Op offices and Cottam Rotary park are all located in this neighbourhood. The second is known as the South side. This neighbourhood has a distinctively different accent to the other two neighbourhoods. The last is Back Cottam. The locals refer to it as BC. It consists of the Gosfield North Public Elementary School. It also has the Belleview Golf Course.

The Produce Stands are located outside of the inner town on the main road. Murray's Market and Pretlis' Green Acre Farm are the well known places to go.

Cottam also has Cottam Cold Storage & Meat Market which has been in buiness for over 50 years. It is a family business and has been going strong for all these years.
